SIGN UP FOR OUR GARLAND MAKING CLASS TO BE HELD ON OCTOBER 11 FROM 2-4PM. Our own Vanessa will be teaching you how to make a 5 foot evergreen garland centerpiece. It is a very easy process and you can use what you learn to create garlands anywhere in your home once you get the basic principles down. Assorted evergreens, branches, berries, and pinecones will be provided along with the wire, twine and tools needed for the project. I suggest bringing a pair of work gloves to handle some of the sharper evergreens. There will be Christmas carols and refreshments too. Come on your own or with a group of friends and enjoy a fun afternoon while getting into the holiday spirit! Minimum of 4 participants required for us to hold the class and a maximum of 8 people. Price is $75 per person. First come, first serve. Please call us at 712-251-9922 to purchase your spot by December 9th.
Our next class will be on May 7th from 4:00-6:00pm (right after our Mother’s Day Flower Sale earlier that day). Bring in your mothers and grandmothers, your children, or just yourself to the shop for a special Language of Flowers Class. There will be a brief presentation on the history of using flowers to send messages, a floral design demonstration, a contest to decipher a sample “tussie mussie” (you will learn what this means!), and then time for everyone to create your own small bouquet using the language of flowers.
Class size is limited. $50 per person. Registration opens Saturday, April 9 at the shop (or call 712-251-9922). First come, first served, and pre-payment required.
