Living Easter Basket Class

Where: Our Flower House (3725 Jackson Street)
Date: Saturday, April 6th
Time: 10:00am - 12:00 noon

Please come join us for a relaxing morning of creativity as we celebrate springtime. We will provide all the materials and instruction to make LIVING EASTER BASKETS. These baskets are an eco-friendly, naturally beautiful approach to Easter. Participants will be planting their baskets full of catgrass seeds, weaving handles of ribbon, and then taking them home where they will grow green and grassy by Easter time when they can be filled with candy, eggs, or little creatures for a lovely spring display.  Mercedes will also be providing a demonstration on NATURALLY DYED EASTER EGGS. You won’t believe the colors that can be achieved through nature’s own dyes!

Workshop cost is $85+ tax per person and includes one basket, soil, seeds, ribbons and instruction for creating a living spring basket. Easter Egg demonstration and refreshments provided at the end of class.  Non-refundable payment due in full upon sign up.

Class size limited to 10 participants. First come, first served. Registration deadline is Monday, April 1 at 11:59pm.

(Minimum of 5 participants to hold class; if less than 5 are registered, you will receive a full refund.)

Garland Making Class

SIGN UP FOR OUR GARLAND MAKING CLASS TO BE HELD ON OCTOBER 11 FROM 2-4PM.  Our own Vanessa will be teaching you how to make a 5 foot evergreen garland centerpiece.   It is a very easy process and you can use what you learn to create garlands anywhere in your home once you get the basic principles down. Assorted evergreens, branches, berries, and pinecones will be provided along with the wire, twine and tools needed for the project.  I suggest bringing a pair of work gloves to handle some of the sharper evergreens. There will be Christmas carols and refreshments too.  Come on your own or with a group of friends and enjoy a fun afternoon while getting into the holiday spirit! Minimum of 4 participants required for us to hold the class and a maximum of 8 people. Price is $75 per person. First come, first serve.
